What Cries Out
We are a monthly Mother-Daughter True Crime Podcast. Each month we will focus on a case that cries out to us. What brings an individual to the precipice of darkness? Can we make sense of societies darkest edges? Sometimes we share generationally opposing views or push our own minds to that edge, but we do this to bring souls into remembrance all while bringing a social issue to light... This is What Cries Out.
What Cries Out
A Tale of Two Cheerleaders
My son loves prisms. I remember when he was old enough to walk, he would take these stacks of prisms and place them by the windowsill and would watch the light reflect through them... Making these tiny rainbows. I was a new mom and remember loving to see the world from his point of view. Witnessing how one sees through another's eyes can be one of the most beautiful and privileged things to experience... But... Sometimes prisms are like people... reflecting their worst part. The two cases here are not related but we are going to shine the light through two different "prisms" so to speak... A case where the chapter of justice has closed, and the trial has ended while the next case is setting the scene for a message that can be sent leaving the protentional ripple effects of what it means to murder at the place of birth. Life's first and final breath in the arms of the one meant to protect. Is this the best of times and worst of times for the Era of Women... Or are we misplacing the crimes of two on the shoulders of all women? Welcome to Episode 33: A Tale of Two Cheerleaders.
